What is zero-waste?

How a textile item can be zero-waste?
Zero waste textiles, as the name implies, is the process of designing and making garments without wasting any or very little fabric. This could mean that the garment pattern is designed in such a way to utilize every last bit of fabric – the pattern pieces fit together perfectly, kind of like Tetris. All the patterns of our products are made from blocks of rectangles and if occurred the excess fabric is folded into the product not to be thrown anything into the landfill.
Consciousness, quality, and multifunctionality are among the core of Ilke Usluca Design.
We design all the prints and hand-make all the products in our little London studio with love and care.
